Enlisted in 2014 as a non-commissioned officer, I was assigned to the Air Force Human Resources Directorate (DRHAA) on the Air Force Base 705 in Tours. In 2017, I applied for the French Air and Space Force Academy internal recruitment exam. I was admitted to join the Academy as a future air defense control officer. We began the academic training punctuated by classes, sports, exams, and military periods. The return to student status was not easy for us, the oldest ones, but the unique entry allows us to meet many people and to share our very different paths. We have the opportunity to bring our experience of the military to the young recruits while they bring their youthful spirit and enthusiasm to us.
